I've played this game before and its so adorable but I can never get past the boss and for some reason my computer is really slow so the game is really junked up, but I Think this game is so sweet and I love to play it when I have a faster computer.
You get the wings by traveling to a big temple somewhere in the forest. There's a sign that says something about a man who meditated and gained flight. Sit on the slab thing in the middle and wait about a moment. I'm not going to ask for a HI5 just to give you some simple advice.
