London, UK, April 14th 2009 - Playora Ltd, the new publishing entity formed by Matt Spall and his team at Gimme5games is pleased to announce the launch of the award winning mobile classic Balloon Headed Boy, newly realised on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch and the relaunch of Balloon Headed Boy's own web site at Balloon Headed Boy.
It's Balloon Headed Boy's Birthday, and the King of the Balloons has arranged a huge party for him at Balloon Castle. All of the balloons in Balloon Town have been invited and everyone is very excited.
Help Balloon Headed Boy race through 32 levels of rubberised madness - collect farty flowers to inflate his head and soar between the platforms, thwop those frogs, keep your head above the rising waters, and rescue the balloons so the birthday party can go ahead as intended!
Originally decribed by Pocket Gamer as; "A cute, cleverly designed platformer that delivers more fun than a balloon animal sculptor at a kiddies' party" the iPhone version of the game introduces a new control mechanic tuned to the touch screen and movement sensor of the device, in addition to a number of new levels never found in the original mobile release.
"We're really pleased we've been able to bring Balloon Headed Boy back to the iPhone and iPod Touch, it was always a struggle to deliver the true polish of the game on the lower powered devices and it's an absolute treat to finally be able to do the game justice on such an awsome handset", said Matt Spall, General Manager of Playora.
12/03/2009 - Gimme5games.com goes all "User Created Content" with Gwizz and Keep-A-Head.
Newly independent casual game publisher Gimme5games.com is pleased to announce the launch of its User Generated Content system, Gwizz, and the online re-launch of the mobile game classic Keep-A-Head.
In Keep-A-Head you control two explorers afflicted with the "twofer" curse, a malevolent spell that leaves their bodies intact, but sharing just the one head! Collect voodoo totem heads in 50 puzzling levels. Avoid head-stealing monkeys, bouncing shrunken heads, flesh eating plants, zombies and deadly lava flows to undo the curse!
But it doesn't stop there - if 50 levels of head swapping action weren't enough, Gimme5games has also launched Gwizz, a substantial extension to the www.gimme5games.com site that allows users to build, prove and release their own levels for other users to play. Keep-A-Head is the first outing of Gwizz with many more games planned for the system.
"Gimme5games.com has been pushing its social elements forward with Hi5s, Gimmes (virtual currency) and Stickees (achievements), Gwizz represents another substantial leap for the site and gives the users even more control of the content, we're very pleased with it indeed" offered General Manager, Matt Spall.
Matt Spall will be representing Gimme5games at the "Flash Gaming Summit" in San Francisco later this month.
